# Timer Commands

> Start, pause, resume, and cancel active server countdown timers.

Falcon provides server countdown timers with real-time progress indicators and notifications when time runs out.

## Managing Timers

### tstart

Launches an active countdown timer with a custom message that updates continuously.

    The duration of the timer formatted with units: `s` (seconds), `m` (minutes), `h` (hours), or `d` (days). E.g. `50s`, `15m`, `2h`, `36h`.

    The alert text to display in the countdown embed and ping when time expires.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Aliases">
    You can also use `-timerstart`, `-timer`, or the slash command `/tstart`.

### tpause

Freezes the countdown clock of an active timer.

### tresume

Resumes counting down on a previously paused timer.

### tend

Immediately cancels and deletes an active timer.
